The PPC plan to do a parish questionnaire to gather some opinions and impressions of the whole parish. Questions like: What do we do well? What could we do better? What is missing? and what would help us to move forward? would produce some interesting and valuable insights. Please reflect on the questions and St. Teresa’s – so that we can gather the wisdom of the parish.
After 10 years and with great regret the clubs on Thursday and Friday evenings are now facing closure as it is not possible to secure the necessary funding. These clubs were dependant on grants, subs and voluntary donations but these prime sources are no longer able to sustain their contributions. Current youth leaders will face imminent redundancy. If anyone has any ideas to rescue the situation – please do speak to Fr. John or any member of the PPC.
“People may not come into a church after their First Communion day, but the sacredness and love surrounding the preparation for that day and on that day stay with them for ever, and sustain them in a way that they never anticipated.
Most of those who prepared them for their First Communion will never know just how important their preparation was and will continue to be – decades along the line.” - Adoremus This year we are supporting the Catholic Children’s Society’s Crisis Fund, which they launched in our Archdiocese. Every penny raised through the crib offering will be given out through emergency grants to local children and families who are in dire need.
