I hope this message finds you well and filled with peace. I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for your support and encouragement throughout these challenging times. The impact of the Covid pandemic has been felt by all but together, we have managed to navigate through it with strength and resilience.
I would like to extend a sincere word of thanks to all who have served the Lord and our parish in various capacities. Your dedication and commitment have been instrumental in keeping our parish community strong. In particular I would like to thank and acknowledge the Parish Council for their relentless efforts over these past several years As we look to the future, it is essential that we form a new Leadership Team to support Archbishop John’s vision for the diocese. We have already taken the first steps by appointing gifted Parish Leads in the field of Evangelisation and securing an excellent and well qualified Deanery Mentor. This initiative has been deemed a priority by every parish and I kindly request your support for their important mission. I urge you to pray for our parish, that we may work together, supporting one another, our Merton Deanery and the Archbishop’s unfolding Vision for the diocese. Rebuilding our parishes is a necessary action that requires the involvement and input of each member. I encourage you to share your views and ideas and suggest individuals who possess the gifts and skills to drive our parish forward. Let us seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit and our friend in Heaven, Saint Teresa, who devoted her life to the Lord’s service. Thank you once again for your continued support and prayers. God bless you all, warm regards, Canon Michael This weekend we welcomed Kamali-Sol Hameed, Rory Cremin and Jude Slaughter into the parish family of St Teresa’s. I would like to reflect with you on the importance of Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. This powerful devotion has become increasingly significant in our time offering us a beautiful one-to-one encounter with Our Lord Jesus our beloved Friend and Saviour.
In our busy lives finding time for prayer can be challenging. However, let us remember that even if we can only spend a short period of time, it is still worth it to meet Him in Adoration. The spiritual benefits of spending time in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament are immeasurable. ADORATION allows us to deepen our personal relationship with Our Lord Jesus. In the hustle and bustle of life we often forget to pause and truly connect with Him. ADORATION provides us with a quiet and sacred space to open our hearts, pour out thoughts and concerns, and listen to His gentle voice speaking to us. ADORATION brings us peace and solace. In the Lord’s presence we find love, comfort and rest for our weary souls. The world can be a chaotic and stressful place, but in ADORATION , we can refuge and experience the calming presence of Our Lord. ADORATION enables us to grow in faith. As we gaze upon the consecrated Host, we are reminded of the true presence of Jesus among us. We are invited to contemplate the mystery of the Eucharist, where bread and wine are transformed into the Body and Blood Christ. This profound act of faith strengthens our belief in the Real Presence of Jesus in the EUCHARIST and deepens our understanding of this central aspect of our Catholic faith. ADORATION empowers us to go out and live as disciples of Christ. Spending time in ADORATION ignites within us a burning desire to share His love and mercy with others. in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament, we are filled with the Holy Spirit, who equips us to carry out the mission entrusted to us by Jesus. Therefore, I invite each one of you to make ADORATION a regular part of your spiritual life. Our Parish offers dedicated times for ADORATION where you can come and encounter the THE LORD. Whether it is for a few minutes or an hour , let us find time among our busy schedules to be with Him. In these Sacred moments of ADORATION, let us pour out our hearts, listen attentively, and receive the graces and blessings that flow from this intimate encounter with JESUS. May this priceless devotion bless our parish, our families, our sick and housebound, our schools, our elderly and those have lost their faith. Dear Friends, The Lord is is TRULY PRESENT, BODY, BLOOD, SOUL AND DIVINITY. Come and Meet HIM — honour Him and HE WILL honour you and open the door to your heart and invite you to be a Eucharistic Apostle for our times. What an Opportunity, What a GIFT! |
